Design inspired by your world.
Having knowledge and skills in marketing, I have long been passionate about interior design, architecture, travel, and art. However, after working on 3 projects as a client and completing 13 projects as a decorator, I decided to change my career path and obtain a diploma in interior design.
Studying this field, I have noticed that there are many similarities between successful marketing projects and the creation of a unique, comfortable, and high-quality design project.
There is a belief that interior design is an exclusively creative and exalted profession, but with this approach, there are no objective criteria for the interior, and the final result does not please the client or reflect their individuality. Clients often do not know what they want simply because we have less experience in buying apartments or houses than, for example, buying clothes.
To ensure that your home is a comfortable, safe, and inspiring place for you, it is necessary to explore what inspires and pleases you specifically, rather than the designer or the person whose home picture you brought as a reference.
I have come to the conclusion that the use of marketing methodologies effectively addresses this task.
Before launching any new product or service, any skilled marketer explore their Customer, their product, the environment in which these objects are located, and then, based on these studies, plans their activities so that the product is of the highest quality and the client is as happy and satisfied with the purchase as possible.
In my opinion, a skilled interior designer should act in the same manner.
They should explore and understand their client: their lifestyle, their family, their hobbies, their needs and desires, their travels, their favorite movies and habits.
Then, they should study the initial characteristics of the house or apartment: the area, proportions, and number of windows, doors, views from the windows, and their orientation in relation to the sides of the world.
And then, focus on the environment, what surrounds this home: the history of the place, its architecture, its surroundings, landscape, and climate...
And when all these three entities are studied and analyzed, only then can a high-quality, comfortable, and inspiring design project specifically for this client be created.
Provided that a skilled designer is involved, who not only analyzes and researches but also explains to the client why the solutions he proposes are considered most successful for that client and for that specific space.
And who exactly is this skilled designer?
In my opinion, it's a mix of a hedonist and a pedantic, highly expert manager with a broad outlook.
Because in order for a home to be comfortable and functional, one needs to know a lot: the specifics of materials, their changes over time, the rules of creating functional layouts, the ergonomics of the space and furniture, and the organization of various lighting scenarios.
In order for it to be beautiful, one needs to know and love the history of art, architecture, design, study the laws of composition, color schemes, and combinations of materials and ornaments.
And in order for the home to be inspiring and a constant source of little and big joy for its residents, the designer must be a hedonist. The designer must love people and the diversity of life. They should strive to travel a lot, to experience many different spaces through tactile and visual experiences, see many natural and cultural landmarks, touch many things, and explore the experience of living in many different cities and countries.
They should see, eat, walk around, drink, smell, read, watch, try, and feel a lot... and then analyze it all and store it in their mind.
So that when a client comes to the designer with their three constants: themselves, their living space, and the environment of that space, the designer, relying on their knowledge, hedonism, experience, and infinite possible solutions, can design and create a comfortable, energizing, and inspiring home specifically for that client.
So that your home is truly yours…
or even a better version of you.
